It is part of a collaborative research and capacity building programme funded by the Danish Consultative Research Committee for Development Research (FFU) and coordinated by Roskilde University. WebGOVSEA is a six year research programme (2014-2024) that analyses state formation dynamics under conditions of limited statehood by examining the governance of economic hubs and flows and their state effects in Somali East Africa. It is positioned in the growing body of literature on fragile states and postconflict peace- and state-building.
